Discuss a PartnershipA Drone Assisted initiative

A specialist medical logistics initiative by Drone Assisted.

OUR CAPABILITIES

The flight is only
part of the journey.

Specialist operations support for time critical medical cargo. An offer being developed around operators’ aircraft, procedures and approvals.

01

Remote pilot operations.

Professional flight support, integrated into your operation.

We aim to assemble pilot capacity around each partner’s aircraft, routes and operating model. Experience, competence checks, type training and familiarisation would be agreed before any deployment. Organisations needing general aerial work can hire a qualified drone pilot through Drone Assisted.

  • Aircraft specific onboarding
  • Partner procedures
  • Defined responsibilities
02

Ground operations & launch sites.

The flight starts with the people on the ground.

Our proposed ground support covers site preparation, loading, handover and liaison with hospital or laboratory teams, with duties and escalation arrangements defined by the operator.

  • Launch site support
  • Payload handovers
  • Local coordination
03

Clinical cargo handling.

Every item has its own requirements.

Packaging, permitted conditions, identification and chain of custody must reflect the specific cargo and clinical pathway. Crew onboarding would follow the relevant operator and healthcare partner protocols.

  • Product specific handling
  • Traceable handovers
  • Clinical protocols
04

Route scoping & trial support.

Start with a complete view of the journey.

Explore the sending and receiving locations, potential ground arrangements and staffing needs. Site surveys and trial preparation would support the operator’s feasibility and approvals work.

  • Site scoping
  • Trial preparation
  • Partner coordination
05

Hybrid drone + road logistics.

A connected journey, from collection to receipt.

Consider how air transport fits alongside existing couriers, including first and last mile handovers and agreed alternatives when a drone leg cannot proceed.

  • Ground interfaces
  • Contingency planning
  • Joined up reporting

THE CARGO WE’RE EXPLORING

Small payload.
Extraordinary purpose.

Different medical items need different transport plans.

01

Blood & platelets

Product specific packaging and agreed transport conditions.

02

Pathology samples

Identification, appropriate packaging and laboratory handover.

03

Medicines & vaccines

Medicine specific conditions and an authorised receiving team.

04

Transplant organs

Hearts, kidneys, livers and other organs: specialist feasibility and clinically led pathway assessment.

05

Surgical instruments

Suitable protective packaging and agreed handling requirements.

06

Donor milk

A defined clinical pathway and appropriate temperature management.

07

Medical supplies

Essential items matched to the aircraft and the receiving setting.

All carriage would be subject to the operator’s approvals, aircraft limits, cargo suitability and relevant requirements. Organ transport is a specialist development area, not an available service.

SAFETY & ASSURANCE

Defined before
deployment.

Each assignment would require agreement on the accountable operator, risk assessment, training and competence records, insurance, cargo procedures and contingency arrangements.

No specific Medical Drone Delivery operational approvals, certifications or NHS contracts are represented on this website. Confirmed credentials will be added before service launch.
